Many times you launch a product and you say, "I launched this product and I'm hoping to sell 10,000 of it in the next year." And you don't. You have two ways of behaving with this. One way is like, "Hey, why am I not selling this product and what's going on?" Just kind of being all disappointed and thinking. I was like trying so hard to sell the product. The other way is like, "Hey, I launched this product, it didn't sell, what's my next move?"

Iman Aghay joins us on this week’s episode of the Canadian Dream Podcast to share his incredible journey with us! Iman moved to Canada in 2009, and by 2011, won the Top Canadian Immigrant award for his positive contributions to Canadian society! Now a Ted speaker, serial entrepreneur and bestselling author, Iman came to Canada to pursue his dream of becoming a professional international public speaker, and sold his businesses back home in Iran to pursue this goal. But like many others, Iman struggled to make ends meet when he first arrived here. He and his wife struggled to pay rent in a decrepit apartment, and, facing eviction, Iman realized that even if he found a job, payment would not come through in time to make rent anyway. So, he decided to tap into the entrepreneurial spirit he had always had, and start his first Canadian business. In order to legitimize the web design company he was building, he went searching for an untapped niche in Vancouver’s business scene, and realized that Vancouver was lacking a networking group for business professionals. He subsequently launched the Vancouver Business Network in tandem with his company, and within months, had a 6-figure business on his hands. A near-death experience, however, made Iman realize that if he passed away then, he would have been remembered as a ‘nice guy’ and a web designer, and realized that he wanted to make a more significant impact on the world. He began to reevaluate his life purpose, and then became a coach to help others discover theirs as well. In this conversation, we’ll explore the significance of gratitude and its shocking effects on the brain, as well as other tips for developing the mindset that you need to manifest success for yourself and achieve your Canadian dreams. We’ll also discuss highlights from Iman’s coaching career, and explore what’s next for this master entrepreneur.
